At DafenArts, we pride ourselves on delivering museum-quality, 100% hand-painted masterpieces. To ensure a professional and transparent experience, our refund and return policy is designed to protect both the artistic integrity of our work and the satisfaction of our clients.

For Custom Commissions (portraits from photos or specific custom sizes):

  • Video/Photo Verification: Once our artist completes your custom piece, we will send high-definition photos and/or videos via WhatsApp (+86 13723448084) or Email for your final approval.
  • Unlimited Revisions: You may request adjustments during this stage until you are 100% satisfied.
  • Final Acceptance: Once you provide written approval of the digital preview, the artwork is considered “Accepted.” Due to the personalized nature of these works, no returns or refunds will be accepted for custom orders after shipping approval has been granted.

Note: For standard gallery reproductions (non-customized), we maintain a strict Quality Control (QC) standard equivalent to the museum-grade samples shown on our site.

If you are not satisfied with a Standard (Non-Custom) painting after receiving it:

  • Window: You have 30 calendar days from the date of delivery to initiate a return.
  • Condition: The artwork must be returned in its original condition, unused, and in its original professional packaging.
  • Restocking Fee: A 15% restocking and handling fee may apply to standard returns to cover the labor involved in professional inspection and re-stocking.
  • Preference Returns: If you decide to return a painting for non-quality reasons (e.g., “changed my mind,” “does not fit the room”), the buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs, insurance, and any applicable customs duties to our studio in Shenzhen, China.
  • Original Shipping: Please note that original shipping charges paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable.

All shipments from DafenArts are fully insured for their declared value.

  • Immediate Reporting: If your painting arrives damaged, you must notify us at [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Required Evidence: Please provide clear photos of the damaged artwork and the exterior packaging (including the shipping label).
  • Resolution: Upon verification, we will provide a Full Refund or a Free Replacement (Priority Repainting) at no additional cost to you.

  2. Provide your order number and the reason for the return.
  3. Once authorized, we will provide you with the specific return address and instructions. Do not send items back without prior authorization.

Once your return is received and inspected (typically within 5 business days), we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, the credit will be applied to your original method of payment (PayPal or Credit Card).

Due to the bespoke nature of hand-painted oil paintings, we do not accept returns or offer refunds for non-quality issues.
