1. 100% Hand-Painted Reproductions

Artwork offered by DafenArts is produced as physical, hand-painted oil paintings by trained artists. Each piece is created through traditional painting techniques and may naturally vary in brushwork, color handling, and texture.

• Our paintings are not digital prints, posters, photographs, machine-printed canvases, or computer-generated canvas prints.
• A handmade reproduction is an artist-made interpretation of a subject, not a claim that the work is an original historical artwork.
• Product images, descriptions, and artist names are used to identify style, subject, inspiration, or historical reference where appropriate.

2. Public Domain and Classic Works

Many classic artworks become eligible for reproduction after copyright expires. Public domain status often depends on the creator's death date, country, publication history, and related rights in the source image.

• We aim to focus classic reproduction offerings on works that are reasonably understood to be public domain or otherwise lawfully reproducible.
• Public domain rules may differ between countries, and buyers should consider their local rules if they plan public, commercial, or institutional use.
• If a rights holder believes a listed work is not eligible, we ask them to contact us so we can review and respond.

3. Original and Contemporary Artworks

For original artworks created by DafenArts artists or collaborating contemporary artists, copyright and image rights remain with the artist or the applicable rights holder unless a separate written agreement says otherwise.

• The buyer receives ownership of the physical painting for personal display.
• Commercial reproduction, resale of images, licensing, merchandise use, advertising use, NFTs, or mass distribution is not included unless expressly agreed in writing.
• When a product is offered as original studio art, the physical painting is unique or made as described on the product page.

4. Customer-Submitted References

For custom portraits, pet portraits, family images, room concepts, interior references, or other commissioned artwork based on buyer-supplied files, the buyer is responsible for confirming they have the right to provide the reference materials to DafenArts for painting.

• Do not submit copyrighted photographs, celebrity images, living artist works, brand assets, private images, or third-party content unless you have permission or a legal right to use them.
• We may refuse or cancel requests that appear to involve unclear rights, illegal content, privacy violations, or inappropriate subject matter.
• By submitting reference materials, you confirm that our use of those materials to quote, paint, correct, preview, approve, pack, ship, and support your commissioned painting will not violate third-party rights.
• You grant DafenArts a limited permission to use submitted files internally for the order and related support. This does not transfer ownership of your private photos to DafenArts.
• We do not use private portraits, family photos, pet photos, room photos, or buyer-submitted custom references for public marketing without permission.

5. Buyer Use After Purchase

Purchasing a DafenArts painting transfers the physical artwork, not copyright, image rights, trademark rights, publicity rights, or commercial reproduction rights unless a separate written license says otherwise.

• Personal display: Buyers may display the physical painting in a home, office, gallery room, hotel room, or similar physical space.
• Commercial image use: Advertising, print resale, merchandise, NFTs, licensing, mass distribution, product packaging, or using the artwork image as a brand asset requires written permission from the applicable rights holder.
• Public or institutional use: If the painting will be used for an exhibition, publication, sale campaign, or commercial interior project, buyers should confirm copyright and image-right needs before ordering.

6. Copyright Complaints and Takedown Requests

If you believe content on dafenarts.com infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please contact us in writing with enough detail for review.

• Your full name, organization if applicable, email address, and phone number.
• A description of the copyrighted work or rights you claim are affected.
• The exact URL or product location where the material appears on our website.
• A statement that you believe the use is unauthorized, plus any ownership or authorization information that helps us verify the claim.

7. Use of DafenArts Website Content

Text, product photos, studio photos, page layouts, graphics, logos, and other website content on dafenarts.com may be owned by DafenArts, our artists, suppliers, licensors, or other rights holders.

You may not copy, scrape, repost, sell, modify, or commercially use DafenArts website content without permission, except where permitted by applicable law.
